Ashoke Pandit, a filmmaker, tweeted on Thursday, November 24 that he has filed a complaint with the Juhi police station against Bollywood actress Richa Chadha for her obnoxious Tweet mocking the Indian Army and its martyrs.

The filmmaker tweeted, “I filed a police complaint against actress #RichaChadha at #JuhuPolicestation (Mumbai), tagging Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and the Mumbai police.” Nobody has the right to criticize our troops. I trust the Mumbai Police will follow the law and act against her, as did @Dev_Fadnavis and @mieknathshinde.

A copy of the police complaint filed at the Juhu police station was shared by Ashoke Pandit, president of the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association. Richa Chadha has beaten and mocked our security personnel, especially those who died in the Galwan valley combatting our adversaries, according to the allegation.

“If the 3 words that are being dragged into disrepute have offended or hurt anyone, I apologize and also say that it would sadden me if even unintentionally my words have triggered this feeling in my brothers in the Fauj of which my own Nanaji has been an illustrious part,” Richa Chadha wrote on Twitter. “I am sorry and also make a request to Saveena Bedi Sachar, who is representing me.

Chadha did not miss the chance to portray herself as a victim before posting the apology. Richa Chadha tweeted this morning that she had received a “call,” with the reply button disabled, and said she had gotten muted responses.
